Title: Does ReHIPS is supposed to work with this GPO elevation prompt setting?
Post by: reasonablePrivacy on June 26, 2018, 06:07:24 PM
User Account Control: Behavior of the elevation prompt for standard users
set to:
Automatically deny elevation requests

I had some problems with isolating programs with this setting.

Hello, reasonablePrivacy.
Welcome to our forum and thank you for your interest in our product.
As far as I remember, ordinary isolated programs don't show any elevation prompts, so this setting shouldn't affect them. Could you please tell me more.
What OS do you have?
Do you have problems with any isolated program or with some particular programs?
What error does it show? Or what kind of problem are you experiencing?

Windows 8.1 64-bit.
I had uninstalled ReHIPS to try other security software, but installed it back today. I tried to isolate Gimp and FBReader with denied elevation prompt and now they work well in isolated environment.
Let's temporary say that I don't have problems.

Thanks for answer.
