Mr Cryptor

I just received this error message upon first starting ReHIPS  firefox
with 'Run isolated in ReHIPS'.

This is the error code:
::{26EE0668-AOOA-44D7-9371-BEB064C98683}\8\::{17CD9488-1228-4B2F

Any ideas why this happened.

Beta ver 2.2

Give some more info so devs can figure it out if it's reproducible.
OS version, security programs you use with, mode you use with rehips, did it happen again.... etc. The more info you can give the more chances to figure it out.

It has something to do with Windows Control Panel -- Default Programs.

shell:::26EE0668-AOOA-44D7-9371-BEB064C98683 will open Control Panel in Category view.

shell:::{17cd9488-1228-4b2f-88ce-4298e93e0966} will open Default Programs.

Were firefox rules installed by RulesPack on ReHIPS install? Or was it Allowed in isolation in alert window (rules were added manually)? And we'll need more information: OS version, detailed step-by-step how to reproduce it, printscreen or video of this error window.

ReHIPS Learning Mode Active, Windows 8.1, McAfee, mode: isolated in ReHIPS, Firefox 46.1,
The error message popped up but by ignoring it Firefox still worked for me with ReHIPS and
I just ignored it and each subsequent time.

Were firefox rules installed by RulesPack on ReHIPS install?
I can't recall but I can check. Can you guide me on how to check to see whether
firefox rules were installed by RulesPack or not?

Go on rehips gui, settings, programs, you will see the windows user name and system. Expand your windows username by clicking the small arrow to it's left. If rules are installed for firefox you can see Firefox in it.

If RulesPack installed this rule, isolated environment should be called Firefox (with capital F). If it was created manually as a result of alert, isolated environment is named after program file, firefox (with small f) or some other name.

And I don't think I'll be able to find something out with with information, I'll still need detailed step-by-step how to reproduce it and printscreen or video of this error window.

ends with... \Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe (small case)
I clicked Install Rules and still ends in small case.

You need to remove the whole firefox group clicking the delete button and then install rules again.

I meant isolated environment name, not program in that isolated environment name. So it should be either Firefox or firefox. If some program rules are already present in database, Install Rules will leave them as they are without any changes. So you can try like aDVll suggested by removing existing firefox isolated environment and rules and installing them again.

Can I check the isolated environment name within ReHIPS Control Center too?

Capital case or small case doesn't matter? What's important here?

How else would you check?

He is telling you it will be one or the other depending if you made the rule from an alert or it was made by rulepack
